LOUNGE CHAIR

Strength is born of tranquillity

The ›Lounge Chair‹ – reflecting the tradition of the Bauhaus, where Herbert Hirche studied under Mies van der Rohe from 1930 to 1933. After working for Mies van der Rohe and, later, for Egon Eiermann, in 1953, during his time as professor at the Stuttgart Academy of Art and Design, he designed the prototype of the ›Lounge Chair‹ for his home. In 2000, we produced the chair for the first time featuring different fabrics, leather and cowhide.
