Eric
Degenhardt

Eric Degenhardt, studied architecture at the RWTH Aachen University and initially worked as an architect, before turning to furniture and industrial design after a long stay in London. He saw this as a logical step, since furniture and products, together with their users, define the function of spaces. Eric Degenhardt’s designs feature simple forms and precise detailing, in a small, but carefully considered, range of materials. Since setting up his own studio in Cologne in 2000, he has developed furniture, packaging and interior designs for international clients, including Boffi, Lamy, Magazin, Paola Lenti, Progetti, Richard Lampert, Schönbuch and Wilkhahn. Many of his products have won international design awards. Eric Degenhardt also lectures at several European schools.
