E10 Armchair

The classic among rattan furniture

An innovation in modern rattan furniture design, created at the end of the 1940s by one of the co-founders of the German Design Council (›Rat für Formgebung‹) and most outstanding German architects of the post-war era: Egon Eiermann. With the ›E10‹, Eiermann developed a new type of lounge chair whose stability was solely derived from the weaving technique. An innovative concept that would be met with great acclaim: at the legendary German pavilion, designed by Eiermann and Ruf for the 1958 World Expo.
