The topic is: Wooden bench with backrest,
modern interpretation of the Alpine “corner bench”
(Eckbank) “matching” table, “matching” chair…

The designer Alexander Seifried found a solution
to our briefing. “Stijl”, table and bench in standard
sizes or made to measure, made of solid bruce,
lacquered in modern colours…

“Matching” the table is not only the bench, but
also the “Prater Chair”, which we presented in
Milano last year.

Nothing slick and expensive looking, something
“normal, still unconventional modern. Something
reminding us of the “original” table and bench in
a kitchen of a country house. Where it was warm
in the winter, cool in the summer. Where it smelled
delightfull of mother’s home made cuisine…
